概念:
「迷因」:一個想法、行為或風格,從一個人到另一個人的文化因子遺傳過程。包含謠言、新聞、知識、觀念、習慣乃至用語、用字、笑話。
「迷因」存在於個體的思想中,會進行自我繁衍從而在不同人的思想領域內傳播。網路的普及猶如催化劑般使迷因驟然成一種病毒性的現象,他象徵著快速化的人際橋樑。
人們在創造「迷因」的同時,也作為載體不斷將一個個「迷因」散播,當意識作為傳播媒介,在分歧的個體間傳導的過程便處於無法定義的狀態,他經歷不斷建構、解構而後產出的過程,且這個過程是斷裂、互文、去中心的。在經歷極度漫長的累積,又或是一瞬間的改變,他跳脫感官的負荷,轉而形成一種純粹意識上的感受。
「初階迷因檢定」將帶領觀眾走入意識傳播的流變空間,企圖開啟人類知覺的感官。在新媒體藝術的媒介特性中,人類作為資訊混種的載體,於網路空間產出的多樣意識形態,使虛擬自我和現實自我分裂卻共存。
此次展覽運用物聯網、動力機械、虛擬實境、錄像裝置,嘗試突破媒體的第四面牆創造虛實的連結,這是數位的啟蒙時代下培育資訊混種產物的計劃,科技之於人類的關係並不僅是對立或共存,更是一種抗衡。
“Meme”- is an idea, an action, or a trend. As the elements of culture that travel from one person to another, which include rumors, news, knowledge, concepts, habits, even the choice of words and phrases, and jokes. “Meme” exists in the thoughts of an individual, which is capable of performing self-reproduction and propagating among separated minds.
The widespread of Internet has functioned as an activator that triggers the meme to turn into a viral phenomenon, which represents the communicational bridge in rapid pace. At the same time while people are creating memes, individuals are also becoming the carriers of each and every spreading memes. When the consciousness is regarded as the medium, the process of communication among diverse individuals will be at the unidentified state. The output of meme has undergone the course of constant reconstruction and deformation, and this path is fragmented, intertextual, and decentralized. After the accumulation over a long period of time, or under sudden changes, then it’s elevated from being just reception of senses, and transforming into a pure perception of conscious.
“Meme Proficiency Test: Beginner” leads the audiences into a rheological space of conscious communication, and attempts to innovate human senses. The characteristic of being the medium owned by the new media art, human are regarded as the carriers of data fusion, and thus create the multi-forms of conscious, which encourage the split and coexistence of virtual-self and real-self. This exhibition combines the Internet, mechanical machineries, virtual reality, and recording devises, and aims to break the fourth wall of media and to build the connection of fiction and reality. This is a program to breed the fusion of data under the digital enlightenment; the relationship between technology and human should go beyond confrontation or coexistence, but further develop into the conatus of humanity.
