活動簡介｜About the Workshop

本次工作坊由奧地利藝術家 Stefan Tiefengraber 主講，結合理論與實作，探索類比音訊如何直接轉譯為影像訊號，應用於動力聲音裝置與即時聲光演出等新媒體創作場域。

課程前段將介紹藝術家自身實踐案例，並解析多種從音訊轉為影像的技術方案與原理（如訊號與接頭規格等）；後段將帶領學員親自改造 VGA 測試訊號產生器，透過簡單的電路修改與焊接操作，使類比聲音訊號可即時投影於螢幕或投影設備上，實現音訊驅動的視覺輸出，進一步激發裝置藝術的跨媒體創作潛能。

This hands-on workshop, led by Austrian media artist Stefan Tiefengraber, introduces techniques for transforming analog audio signals into video signals through direct circuit-level modifications. Participants will first explore theoretical frameworks and artistic examples from kinetic sound installations, followed by a practical session where each attendee builds their own analog audio-to-VGA converter by modifying a VGA test generator. This DIY approach enables live audio signals to generate synced visual outputs on devices like beamers or monitors—bridging sonic and visual media through hardware manipulation.

講者介紹｜Speaker Bio

Stefan Tiefengraber（AT）現居奧地利林茲與格拉茲，創作橫跨動力裝置、互動媒體與實驗影像，關注廢棄裝置與過時技術的再轉譯與再活化。曾任電視與影像製作六年，2010 年起就讀林茲藝術大學時間型與互動媒體系，並赴首爾國立藝術大學（KNUA）交換。2015 年駐村韓國國立現代美術館（MMCA Changdong），2020 年擔任 Ars Electronica 評審，2021 年獲日本媒體藝術祭優選獎。他亦為聲音藝術演出策展人，並共同創辦實驗場域 Tresor Linz。

Tiefengraber’s works have been featured internationally, including Ars Electronica Festival (AT), Japan Media Arts Festival (JP), and Media Art Biennale WRO (PL). He is known for repurposing obsolete technologies to reveal new perceptual potentials through DIY circuitry and audio-visual experimentation.

●     9V 電池（1 顆）

●     One 9V battery per person
